Big Hero 6 + The Incredibles, Related??

My husband and I have come up with a mind-blowing theory about the relationship between Big Hero 6's Aunt Cass

and The Incredibles' Mom - Elastigirl

Oops...I mean Helen Parr...
Ummm....sorry Helen, I definitely meant Elastigirl.

As we watched Big Hero 6, we both couldn't help but think of The Incredibles. Helen & Cass seemed so similar in so many ways - the big eyes, the hair, their voices were slightly similar, and their sense of humor. It turns out in our theory, Helen Parr AKA Elastigirl, is actually Aunt Cass' sister. The superhero nature just runs in their blood, apparently. Helen and Cass had a brother. Their brother was Hiro & Tadashi's father.

Although it seems like it would've been a wise decision to send Hiro & Tadashi to live with the Parr family AKA The Incredibles seeing as how they already had 3 kids, Hiro's father & mother made the decision that if anything were to happen to them, they'd want his sister Cass to take the kids, in order to keep their kids from the life of crazy antics and super-villains, and to get them the education they would need to make the world a better place.

Also, Elastigirl does exist in some form in their dimension as there is a figurine of her in Fred's room. Which is certainly, as we know, because he is a big fan of fictional and real life superheroes.

Hiro was just a toddler when his parents died, and since super-heroing and super-smarts just happened to be in his blood, he had no choice but to create a team as amazing as Big Hero 6, following in the footsteps of his Aunt and Uncle - The Incredibles!

  1. um noo .....noo.....no literally everything about your "theory"makes no sense you have no proof to back this theory up the pictures in yhe background of the movie are too blurry to even make out the actual faces in the picture to be honest it doesn't even seem like the two live in the same dimension they look nothing alike they act nothing alike and im pretty sure they have different last names if aunt cass and helen were sisters dont you think aunt cass would have a power or disney would have thrown out a verbal easter egg buuuttt they didn't this theory makes me sick

    1. I am a Disney fan. This was done for fun. Your ugly, rude comment will be deleted, but not before I tell you that saying rude, hurtful things behind a keyboard is not appreciated. It's cyber-bullying. You are taking this far too personally. Take a deep breath and find something more important to be passionate about... ;)

    2. How was he (or she) rude in any way? He just said your theory was bad and that it doesnt make sense, which to be honest, it is kinda bad. The guy had to say what had to be said and i wouldnt consider it a "rude" comment, its just you over reacting to it.
For me, you took it more oersonally than he did, darling.

    4. This theory made you sick? Good! I hope you died from it.

    5. I think we can all have our own opinions and own thoughts. I will not say what I think about the theory, only that it was very creative and it looked like it took a lot of work to get it to the way it is.
I agree with Heidi. We all need to cool down and think about what we're saying to others. You have to take into consideration other people's thoughts and feelings.
      Good job Heidi!

  2. unfortunately i think i have to agree. given the technology present in the Incredibles, at the time of Mr. Increadibles and Elastigirls wedding would be in the late 80's to early 90's which when the movie came out (2004) showed a fairly accurate depiction of the available technology of the time (with exception of Syndrome).

Now with the tech from Big Hero 6 its advancement shows something we might see say in the next twenty years, remember Professor Robert Callaghan had already built magnetic robotics that Hero based his micro bots on.

Disney has a nasty habit of Reusing base character designs to speed up the animation of its movies so it is not unfeasible that Aunt Cass might look similar to Pixar's Helan Parr.

The photo you indicated in the above photo looks like it is old enough to be a Sepia grade photo (brown base from the 20'-50') as well as the fact that the people in said photo appear to be of oriental dress/decent. Now as for the action figures that you indicated in your second photo pic you've provided while it is blury with google chrome 300% zoom the second and Ninth figures are the only ones that look similar to the 2004 costume, but neither have the yellow (i) that should be there.

I wold love to believe that Aunt Cass was just unlucky to not have been born with powers or is hiding them for some reason that might be brought up in the next movie (if they make one), but at this time I don't think there is enough evidence to prove the relationship.

    1. Actually the Incredibles film takes place in the 1960s, with Helen and Bob's wedding in the late 40s. In the scene where Bob's reading the newspaper about Gazerbeam going missing the date says 1962. That's really the final nail in the coffin of this Incredibles/Big Hero 6 theory. It'd be cool if it were true though, that's for sure.

  3. The final nail that this theory can have it's that Disney based the movie "Big Hero 6" in a Marvel comic, maybe in the same dimension of Hiron-Man, Dr.Strange, etc...

  4. I have to agree with the first comment, this theory is totally unbased and extremely reaching. Aunt Cass' face looks far more like the girls from Tangled or Frozen than it does Helen Parr's. The family photo that you circled doesn't lend anything to this theory and, while a couple of the blurry action figures are red, there is nothing to definitively say any of them are actually supposed to be Helen (and I actually think Fred's collection is more evidence of superheroes being considered a fictional thing in their world, which was definitely not the case in the Incredibles' world).

  5. Your suggesting that the Parr family and Hamada family are related even though they live in seperate dimensions? what? As far as I understand it incredibles is set in the 1950's or 60's and BH6 is set in modern day but in a fictional city Sanfrantokyo or something (so god knows whether or not San Fransisco and Tokyo actually exist in BH6)if anything the incredibles probably exist in BH6 like they do in our world as fictional characters from movies games and toys. Were does all this dimension jumping suddenly come from??
